Alumni Giving Program

Hi Athletics Nova Scotia Alumni,

You know better than anyone that track and field is more than just a sport—it’s where we learn resilience, discover our strength, and build lifelong communities. You remember the nervous energy behind the starting blocks or in the circle or on the runway - the quiet confidence built at a Tuesday night practice, and the mentors who helped you get there.

Right now, the foundation that makes those moments possible is facing unprecedented hurdles. Between rising costs and recent budget cuts, it is a challenging time for Athletics Nova Scotia. We know times are tight for many of you, as well. That is exactly why we are launching "The Next Flight"—because when resources are scarce, we have to make every single dollar go incredibly far.

We aren't just asking you to fund a single event. We are asking you to invest in the engine that powers the entire province. When you make a small donation to our operational fund, you are directly fueling a province-wide framework for success:

Opening the Starting Line (Accessibility & Participation): Your gift helps us remove financial barriers so that every kid in Nova Scotia, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to discover this sport.

Guiding the Journey (Coaching & Officials): Athletes can't compete without safe, fair, and well-run meets. Your support helps us recruit, train, and retain the dedicated coaches and officials who are the lifeblood of our local clubs.

Building Stronger Homes (Club Development & Effectiveness): We are working hard to run a lean, highly effective organization so that our local clubs have the administrative support and resources they need to thrive.

Chasing Greatness (Excellence): From grassroots community programs to our provincial team athletes standing on the podium, your dollar ensures the pathway to excellence remains unbroken.

Make your dollar go further.

A gift to our operations has a massive multiplier effect.

$25 helps fund the grassroots essentials that keep our daily operations running smoothly.

$50 supports the training of a new official or community coach.

$100 helps us expand our accessibility initiatives, ensuring the sport grows stronger and more inclusive.

We are now accepting donations via EMT at athletics@sportnovascotia.ca using security answer “athletics”.

Even in challenging times, we know this community shows up for each other. Thank you for passing the baton and ensuring the track and field is ready for the next generation.

Best regards,
