2017 Canada Games Team Named

Date:
Tuesday, 2017, June 27 - 10:30am

Athletics Nova Scotia is pleased to announce 58 athletes selected to the 2017 Canada Games Track and Field team competing in Winnipeg, Manitoba later this summer.

“I’m extremely excited about our selected team heading to Winnipeg for this the 2017 Canada Games. The team is compromised of some very experienced and high level athletes that have the chance to make the podium. We also have over 20 athletes that will still be eligible for 2021 Games and this experience, making this one of our youngest teams heading to Canada Games in recent history.  This event will give them the adequate long term athletes development needed for the years to come. Track and Field in Nova Scotia is developing at a very high level due to the great work of the clubs and personal coaches across the province. The athletes now enter the most cruical part of their preparations for the Games and I’m confident we have a solid plan heading into the games.” – Head Coach, Ueli Albert
